  3. 1/4 cup wheat flour

  8. For Black eyed bean topping---
  9. 1 bowl soaked black eyed bean(atleast for 1an)hour and cooked
  10. 1 tbsp oil
  11. 2 tomatoes (puri)
  12. 2 dry red chilli
  13. 7-8 garlic cloves
  14. 1/2 inch ginger
  15. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  16. 1/2 tsp chanamasala
  17. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  18. to taste Salt
  19. leaves Fresh coriander
  20. For uncooked salsa--
  21. 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  22. 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  23. 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  24. as needed Fresh coriander leaves
  25. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  26. 1/2 tsp chat masala
  27. 1 tsp mixed herbs or oragano

Instructions to make Tacos with Indian taste

  1. Making Tacos---sieve the maize flour and wheat flour together in a bowl.
  2. Add oil, carom seeds, salt and knead into a semi stiff dough using warm water.
  3. Take small size of (puri size) portion from this dough..Dust with wheat flour and roll it with rolling pin.
  4. Prick with fork.
  5. Heat a deep pan or kadhai and deep fry till it turns light brown in colour from both sides.
  6. Once it turns light brown... Immediately shape it into a shell(U shape) using a pair of tongs and a frying laddle and continue deep frying by holding the shell till it turns golden brown in colour from both sides.
  7. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
  8. Now for making tangy masala---first in a blender jar add tomatoes,dry red chilli, ginger, garlic..And blend them to make a puri.
  9. Heat a pan with 1tbsp oil and add carom seeds..Add tomato puri and saute for 2 min.
  10. Add turmeric powder,chana masala and salt...Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2min.keep stirring.
  11. Add black eyed beans... mix well...Mash it lightly and cook on a medium flame for another 2to 3 min.switch off the flame add coriander leaves and keep aside.
  12. Making uncooked salsa---combine all the ingredients in a bowl...And mix well.
  13. At last proceeding--- fill a Taco shell with 1tbsp of beans mixture topping..Then 1/2tbsp of uncooked salsa. And arrange with some shredded beetroot..
  14. Serve immediately.
